UI/UX

The vAuto program is used by car dealers and the Provision module will create competitive prices based on their local market. One aspect is to ensure the dealer’s prices are posted online; the software exports the vehicle prices, then sweeps the internet for their inventory, and finally confirms back that their intended price has been published online. When prices are not “confirmed” there can be several places along this cycle to troubleshoot.

I created this visual guide and step-by-step instructions for troubleshooting why the prices are not confirming as there are several places to search, and new technicians are often confused on the data flow and where to look for issues. Instead of guessing where to troubleshoot, I created a lifecycle diagram to guide the technician from the origination of the price change, through the export filters of the software, tracking down the website host for data collection, and finally back to the receiving end.
